Job Summary:

The Director of Field Talent Acquisition will directly lead a team of 14 plus team members to include our Regional Pharmacist Talent Acquisition Leads, with indirect responsibility for 100+ more headcount via RPO and/or field in support of a variable number of openings between 8,000-80,000 (Corporate and Field). The Director will oversee recruitment initiatives for the Front End of Stores and Pharmacy. This role contributes to defining and executes our go forward Talent Acquisition (TA) Strategy. As a member of the TA leadership team, the Director has significant impact on shaping transformation by leveraging data, technology and market insights/best practices to meet the talent needs of a rapidly evolving organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aligns Walgreens’ Talent Acquisition strategy with key business drivers; with a focus on acquiring theskills and capabilities need to achieve Transformative Growth (e.g., data, digital, analytics, businessprocess redesign, customer focus and engagement, technology).
  • Drives the design, development and delivery of effective strategic recruitment plans.
  • Facilitates and manages diverse recruitment activities in accordance with all Diversity, Equity &Inclusion goals and philosophies.
  • Manages a holistic and commercial view of sourcing/recruiting across all hiring; acts as the mainpoint of contact for senior leadership across all businesses and HR functions.
  • Drives accelerated cultural and operational change within Talent Acquisition to become a more collaborative, analytical, digital, technology-enabled and customer centric HR function.
  • Reviews and refines Talent Acquisition practices and re-designs processes and the candidateexperience leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Consults with executive leadership on talent acquisition strategies, and leads/develops a highperforming team that delivers those strategies at all levels of the organization.
  • Manages a formalized structure/support system toward the enablement of internal mobility.
  • Drives high impact sourcing strategies to identify and attract diverse, high performing talent;maintains current with market trends on new acquisition strategies & tools.
  • Analyzes and communicates recruitment trends, results and insights to drive future recruitmentactivity, improves compliance and reduces risk; drives team use and company utilization of Talent Neuron market, recruitment data.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering executive presentations.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of recruitment reporting and analytics to help shape sourcingand recruiting strategies.
  • Measures talent acquisition team (inclusive of both FTE and outsourced team members) withspecific metrics and ensures compliance and performance with KPIs.
  • Analyzes ROI on TA strategies to ensure effectiveness and spend.
  • Monitors and manages all team activity on a continuous basis, ensuring appropriate utilization ofworkloads across the team.
  • Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and developmentopportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale andmotivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverseand inclusive workplace.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management and/or human resources OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 9 years of experience in talentacquisition, talent management and/or human resources.
  • Expertise in Talent Acquisition best practices and innovation with the ability to build sustainable long-term strategies.
  • Experience as a full lifecycle recruiter in a corporate environment.
  • Experience communicating with confidence and influencing others, internally and externally.
  • Experience using analytics, data, and insights to inform decisions.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management and/or human resources OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 15 years of experience in talentacquisition, talent management and/or human resources.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization with responsibility for hiring individuals making anywhere from $12/hour to $500K annually, while being an effective agent for change.
  • Strategically oriented with experience delivering measurable results through proactive people management and development.
  • Experience demonstrating business acumen, such as knowledge of the organization’s business model, operations, financial goals and competitive position across business lines.
  • Experience aligning work to company values, leadership principles, and putting the customer first.
  • Experience demonstrating change agility in a complex, fast paced, rapidly evolving environment. Has led through transformational changes; developing a compelling vision and executing against a plan.
  • Experience fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, empowerment, and inclusive diversity.
  • Experience navigating and productively resolving conflict.
  • Fluent in digital strategies and technology advancements to bring automation and new ways of working to the forefront.
  • Ability to interpret data from a variety of internal and external sources and predict trends.
  • Experience managing outsourced partnership relationships.
